Author of the book with Governor Michael Dukakis, The Duke, Weekly Conversations with The Last Honest Politician

Scott is a humor columnist, author, and former stand-up comedian who wrote the book The Duke: Weekly Conversations with the Last Honest Politician detailing years of candid kitchen-table chats with former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis.
Kerman first met Dukakis at a family-hosted fundraiser in 1977, and the two later reconnected when Dukakis became a regular guest on Kerman’s sports/talk show, The Grandstanders. Over four years (starting around 2020), he visited Michael Dukakis (“The Duke”) every Wednesday at his kitchen table in Brookline, recording hundreds of hours of conversation.
