The Taylor Street Restrooms are now unisex

The two restrooms in the hallway at the Saugus Public Library’s Taylor Street entrance are now unisex restrooms.
This means that anyone, regardless of how they identify in terms of gender, can use one if it is available. This should contribute to a more equitable and convenient environment for our patrons.
We have added a changing table to the restroom which used to be designated as the men’s room. Both restrooms have toilets, not urinals, and are handicapped accessible.
The rooms are currently designated unisex with temporary signage. We will purchase and install permanent signage as soon as possible.
