No Internet access at home? Borrow the Internet with a WiFi Hotspot!

The SPL has Verizon Wifi hotspots (MiFi 7730L) available for borrowing.  A Wifi hotspot allow users to access the Internet via a WiFi signal anywhere a cellular phone signal is available. You can connect to the Internet at home, in the park, in your car…pretty much anywhere you are when you need free Internet access. The hotspots provide up to 25GB  of internet data for the borrower.

To check out a hotspot, you must be a Saugus resident, have a valid Saugus Public Library card, and have an account in good standing (no unpaid fees or overdue items) Borrowers must also be at least 18‐years-old and sign a Wifi checkout agreement. They can then log onto the hotspot with their phone, laptop or any other Wifi capable device. Each hotspot can connect up to 8 devices to the Internet simultaneously. Hotspots can be checked out for up to three weeks (sorry, no renewals).
