We are trying to provide our patrons with fresh offerings of free online content. In addition to our previously posted content, we’d like to add a new site. Our thanks to John Vaporis, Library/Media Teacher, at Saugus Schools for pointing us to Internet Archive, a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more.
Internet Archive contains:
- 330 billion web pages
- 20 million books and texts
- 4.5 million audio recordings (including 180,000 live concerts)
- 4 million videos (including 1.6 million Television News programs)
- 3 million images
- 200,000 software programs
All content is free to account holders, and setting up an account is easy and free.
If you are a student who needs an eBook your teacher has assigned for remote learning (and can’t find an available copy on OverDrive or Hoopla), or just searching for entertainment and enrichment while staying at home, go to Internet.org, sign up for a free account, and start enjoying millions of free items today!
