Local McDonalds donates $1,000 to the SPL

At today’s ribbon cutting of the newly-renovated McDonalds restaurant at 172 Broadway in Saugus, owner Lindsay Wallin presented a $1,000 donation to the Saugus Public Library. The donation was gratefully accepted by library director Alan Thibeault. In her remarks, Ms. Wallin spoke about the importance of reading, noting that her restaurant features a free library for customers and that they will sponsor a cosplay appearance by Harry Potter characters at the library later this summer. We are grateful to Ms. Wallin and her restaurant for their generosity and support. The funds will be used to support our Summer Reading programs.

The restaurant also presented a $1,000 donation to Healthy Students, Healthy Saugus.
