Spring is finally in the air and Books in Bloom offers a preview of colorful things to come. What is Books in Bloom? It is a an annual event, sponsored by the New Friends of the Saugus Public Library and Saugus Garden Club. Local flower enthusiasts put together floral arrangements that interpret a book’s title, book jacket, or theme. The arrangements must contain some fresh plant material (foliage, flowers etc.) and, of course, a book. Set up and staging of arrangements began on Thursday, April 4th in the Community Room. Showings take place around the library on Friday, April 5th (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and Saturday, April 6th (9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).  Come by the library on Friday or Saturday to take a walk around and enjoy the Books in Bloom!
