Hooked by Sutton Foster

“Hooked was excellent. It was so much more than a book about crafting for mental health. Sutton wrote beautifully about her life, her career, and how cross stitch, crochet and art saw her through difficult times in her life and helped her cope with the good, the bad and the ugly of what life can throw at someone. I highly recommend it.”

Seahorses by Sara Lourie

“The author Sara Lourie did an excellent job with presenting seahorses.
Ive always been interested in them since a child . I thought I’d have a seahorse and go whizzing about through the ocean like the cartoon characters did ! Sara presented so many unusual facts and stories about seahorses . I like the way her book is formatted . The pictures of the seahorses are incredible to see! shows varieties, habits and habitats. This is a very interesting book .”

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

“This is the fifth Colleen Hoover book I have read this year, and this novel did not disappoint! Fast-paced with good twists and turns.”

God Rest Ye, Royal Gentlemen by Rhys Bowen

’’It was fun to read and kept my interest. I’m just disappointed that I have to wait for the next book to come out in November”

Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

“I give this book 5 stars because It was written so vividly that I felt was transported into the little cafe in Japan the book was written about. I really enjoyed the storytelling”

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

This was a fantastic and heart wrenching retelling of “The Iliad” through a modern lens with a new character perspective. Miller’s imagery and tasteful metaphor use make the characters and romance hop off the pages and her novel a page turner.
