2024 Summer Reading Starts Mon, June 17th!

2024 Summer Reading Program: Read, Renew, Repeat! 

Kids read the books they love, log their reading, and win awesome prizes!  They’ll learn about conservation, and enjoy free programs, crafts and activities.  This year’s program starts on Monday, June 17, 2024 and runs through Friday, August 23, 2024.  It is geared towards kids in PreK-6th grade (ages 4-12).

Starting Monday, June 17th: 

  1. Register for this year’s challenge using the Beanstack app – or register in person at the Saugus Public Library.  Beanstack is loaded with stories and activities to do at home and cool educational videos, like this Live wolf howl!
  2. Read at least 20 minutes per day
  3. Log your Reading
  4. Win Prizes: like watercolors, plush animals, bouncy balls, and books!  You’ll be entered into drawings for vouchers to Soc’s, Banana Splitz, McDonald’s, Prince Pizzeria, Kane’s Donuts, Crumbl Cookie, Roller World, Paradise Family Golf, Swan Boats, Tiger Institute Tae Kwan Do, In the Game, Canobie Lake, North Shore Music Theater and much, more!

It’s all free, all summer at the Saugus Public Library! 

Check out our programs like Ice Cream Storytime, Science with Ms. Steph, Pokemon Camp, plus Summer Reading Together, a reading enrichment program with Miss Toniann for rising 1st-4th graders.

We’ll also host special visits by Wildlife Encounters, Vinny the Bubble Guy, the Saugus Fire & Police Departments, Magic and Bubbles with Ed Popielarczyk, Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals, Henry the Juggler, Toe Jam Puppet Band and more!
