Due to the precautions being taken to avoid the spread of COVID-19, the Saugus Public Library is closed to the public, but we are working behind the scenes to provide services. Here are answers to a few of the questions we are often asked these days.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic conditions continue to affect our ability to resume normal operations. We are unsure at this time when we will be able to welcome patrons back into our facility. Any decision to reopen our doors will be a cooperative one between the State and Town government. We continue to work on reopening scenarios that consider various services and appropriate safety precautions.

You can return items at any time to the box beside the door on Taylor Street or on the wall on the left side of the Central Street Door. We also have a return bin inside the Taylor Street pickup site during Front Door Pickup hours.

We are currently working with our museums and attractions partners to determine if and how we can once again offer discounted passes to our patrons.

The only current exception to this rule are the Massachusetts DCR Parks Passes. Patrons may reserve these passes on our website.

Yes. To avoid the spread of COVID-19, the Saugus Public Library is offering our patrons the ability to apply online for a local use library card, which can be used to access the resources of the Saugus Public Library.

To request and borrow items from other NOBLE libraries online and in person you will need to convert your card to a full access card. To convert your card, stop by the Library with ID and proof of address during Front Door Pickup hours.

You may email the library at sau@noblenet.org or call us at 781.231.4168, ext 3102. If no staff is available to answer your call, please leave a message. We will return email and phone calls as soon as possible.
