April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In recognition of this, the Saugus Health Department will be sponsoring a Diaper Drive benefiting families.
According to the National Diaper Bank Network, “Women with diaper need also reported more difficulty with stress management, depression, and coping with trauma – which can negatively affect a child’s health and development;” increased stress and depression can in turn increase the chances of abuse.
Please consider helping those in our community with a donation:
- New and unopened packages of diapers only
- All sizes needed: Newborn to size 6; Sizes 5 and 6 are a greater need
- Baby wipes
Collection Dates: April 3 – April 28
