Sept. 25th: New England Lighthouses

Join the New Friends of the Saugus Public Library in welcoming Jeremy D’Entremont on Tuesday, September 25th at 6:00 pm for his presentation titled “New England Lighthouses and the People Who Kept Them.” He will tell the story of New England’s picturesque and historic lighthouses, focusing on the colorful and dramatic stories of lighthouse keepers and their families.

Jeremy has been called the leading expert on New England’s historic lighthouses. He is the author or co-author of more than 20 books, including The Lighthouses of Maine, The Lighthouses of Massachusetts, The Lighthouses of Rhode Island, The Lighthouses of Connecticut, Great Shipwrecks of the Maine Coast,  The Lighthouse Handbook: New England, All About Nubble Light, and Ocean-Born Mary: The Truth Behind a New Hampshire Legend. 

Jeremy is the historian for the American Lighthouse Foundation and the founder of Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses. He has appeared on the History Channel, the Travel Channel, Public Television, and National Public Radio speaking about lighthouses and other subjects.

The program, which will be held in the Community Room, is free and no registration is required. However, please be aware that seating is limited
