Saugus Public Library closed to the public indefinitely

We have suspended public services and access to our building to try to help keep our community safe from the COVID-19 threat by limiting contact between our staff and patrons.

Members of our staff are working in the building throughout this period on various projects. However, the public will not be admitted to the building.

PATRONS: Our circulation system and status will be “frozen” during this period. No fines will accrue and items will not come due. During this period we will not checkout any items. Library cards will not expire. There will be no deliveries or pick ups from the MLS. Holds currently ready for pickup by patrons will remain on the hold shelf and pull dates will be modified based on our closure. All Commonwealth Catalog actions are suspended as well.

We ask that patrons hold onto any items they have borrowed and NOT return them to our book drops. Additionally, we ask patrons to please NOT donate items to the library. Everything you leave here has to be disinfected and we don’t want to bring any of it into our facility. Therefore, we will simply throw away any non-library items you bring to us.

DELIVERIES will be accepted Monday—Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Central Street entrance (front of the building) or at the side door (facing toward Charlie’s Pizza). Please ring the bell or knock on the door.

EVENTS: All public and private events/gatherings scheduled to take place at the Library have been canceled for the time being.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Be safe and healthy, everyone!
