Massachusetts Parks Passes

The SPL will be once again offer parking passes this year for all DCR facilities that charge for parking (yes, like Nahant Beach).

Sadly, due to some abuses of the passes last year, we’ve had to tighten up our lending rules for these items. These passes are available, one per day, on a first come, first served basis and are available to all patrons in good standing who hold a Saugus library card or a card from a NOBLE member library. Patrons may only reserve one pass at a time. The passes can be reserved on our web site or in person at the library’s main desk. Patrons may only reserve one Parks Pass at a time.

Additionally, the passes MUST:

= Be picked during open hours not earlier than one day prior to day of use.

= Be returned INSIDE the building (handed to a staff member on the Circulation Desk; NOT PLACED IN ONE OF OUR BOOK DROPS) on the first open day after the scheduled date of use for the pass.

Any violation of the above policy may result in a loss of borrowing privileges.

Overdue fee is $10 per day.

We will charge a $60 replacement fee for lost passes.
