Changes to Massachusetts Parks Passes

The SPL is once again offering Massachusetts Parks Passes this year for all DCR facilities that charge for parking (yes, like Nahant Beach, which is honoring the passes).

These passes (4 in all) circulate for one week. Passes must be placed on hold through the Evergreen catalog. Once your reservation is accepted and the pass is available, you will receive an email or phone call notifying you that the pass is ready for pickup. Call 781-231-4168 ext. 3102 to schedule a pickup date.

Passes may be picked up during Front Door Pickup hours at the Library (Wednesday or Thursday, 3:30-6:30 pm). Passes must be returned to a staff member (not in a book drop) on Tuesday, during Front Door Pickup hours, 3:30-6:30 pm.

The passes may not be placed in the Saugus Public Library’s book drops. They must be handed to a staff member during Front Door Pickup hours at the Library’s Central Street entrance on Tuesday between the hours of 3:30 and 6:30 pm.

Passes attach to the rear-view mirror of the borrower’s vehicle. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in a loss of borrowing privileges.

Patrons may only reserve one Parks Pass at a time.

Only patrons 18 years of age or older may reserve a Parks Pass.

Passes must:

= Be picked during Front Door Pickup hours (Wed and Thurs, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm). Please call us at 781-231-4168 extension 3102 to schedule a pickup day.

= Be returned to the Library on the Tuesday after the checkout date during Front Door Pickup hours (Wed and Thurs, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm).

We will charge a $60 replacement fee for lost passes.
