The first patron to borrow a WiFi HotSpot

Saugus Public Library Patron Maureen Whitcomb became the first patron to borrow one of our new MiFi 7730L HotSpots last evening. This is new service that we are offering on a trial basis.

The MiFi 7730L device from Verizon is an easy-to-use, mobile hotspot that keeps your tablet, laptop and other Wi-Fi–enabled devices connected to the Internet wherever you go. You can connect up to 8 devices to 4G LTE and 3G networks, and also charge external devices.

The HotSpots are available to patrons  who are at least 18 years old, a Saugus resident, and who have NO overdue items or fees on their account.

They may be borrowed for up to 3 weeks (sorry, no renewals) with an overdue fine is $1/day (up to a max of $5).
